ROB CULLINAN - HEAD COACH
Coach Rob Cullinan was raised in Mission Viejo, California. He is a 1992 graduate of Mission Viejo High School where he lettered in football and basketball. He is a member of the Diablo Basketball Hall of Fame (Rebounds in a game, 19). As a senior he served as captain of the basketball team and signed his NLI/ football scholarship with University of the Pacific. While at Pacific, coach suffered a career ending back injury but still completed his Bachelors Degree in Social Science. Upon graduation he returned to Orange County and earned his teaching credential and Masters Degree in Education.
Coach Cullinan comes to Rancho Mirage High School with a strong coaching background, having coached since age 19. Prior to becoming a Rattler, Coach Cullinan, was the Head Boys Basketball coach at Mission Viejo High School. Cullinan's extensive coaching background also includes: Head Girls Coach Dana Hills HS 2011-2014, Associate Head Boys Coach Dana Hills High School from 2003-2014, Laguna Beach High School 1999-2003, serving as Head Varsity Boys Coach from 2001-2003, Dana Hills Varsity Assistant 1996-1999 and Varsity/JV assistant coach at Tokay High School (Lodi, CA) from 1993-1996.
Coach has also been been fortunate enough to coach and direct numerous Tournaments, Special Events and Showcases including the Orange County All-Star Game, North/South Challenge, WYBT Hawaiian Classic, MaxPreps Holiday Classic and various AAU events including the Las Vegas Grand Finale and the Las Vegas Big Time Tournaments.
Coach Cully loves being a Rattler and enjoys teaching in the Social Science department at RMHS.
